It is no secret that Xiaomi is a company that plans to rival Apple. The Chinese firm is constantly enhancing its products and it often releases new models.
Now the company came up with its new Mi Notebook Pro and it appears that it is ready to challenge Apple’s MacBook Pro. This product comes after Xiaomi launched Mi Notebook Air last year. Obviously, both the name and the design were based on Apple’s Macbook. Let’s take a look at Macbook’s possible rival.
Mi Notebook Pro specifications
Mi Notebook Pro comes with a precision trackpad that features a fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi also revealed that it managed to upstage the ports’ diversity on the MacBook Pro. While Apple’s device comes with only four Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, Mi Notebook Pro has two USB-C ports, a full-sized HDMI port, two regular USB ports and a 3-in-1 card reader on top of it all.
The Xiaomi notebook has a display that measures 15.6-inches (1920 x 1080) and GeForce MX 150 graphics from Nvidia. The display has narrow bezels as well. Mi Notebook Pro also has up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB off SSD storage and the latest Intel quad-core i7 processor.
Price & release date for the Mi Notebook Pro
We do not know for sure when the Mi Notebook Pro will be released, but we can already tell you that it will cost around $980 (6399 Chinese Yuan). Since Xiaomi also sold the Mi Notebook Air in China initially, we can expect a China release for the Notebook Pro. The rest of the world will follow after that. We will see if the Xiaomi laptops will manage to become a worthy rival for Apple’s MacBook and MacBook Pro.
