Whatsapp is one of the most popular smart messaging apps and it has been bought by Facebook for a while now. The app is now updated with the picture-in-picture (PIP) feature for video calling. The app also has again the text only status.
PIP with Whatsapp
The PIP mode allows users to move the picture around and resize it, while multitasking. The video-call will remain live and users can also do other things in the meanwhile. We can forget about a relative calling us and boring us to death. Now we can play a game while we pretend to listen to that person. The new feature is similar to the one offered by the newest Android OS: Android 8.0 Oreo. Whatsapp has been working on this new feature since July of this year and now we can enjoy it.
Text-only status is back
Whatsapp has previously removed the text only status and introduced the Snapchat like status update. Many users complained and wanted the text only status to become available once more and now their which came true. The company also brought a Snapchat-like story feature, which allows users to snap images and videos to update their status for only 24 hours. It is a fun feature, but most users still prefer the traditional text-only.
A surprise is on its way
These are not the only two changes Whatsapp has planned for its users this year. The free messaging app has been rumored to be working on releasing a new feature entitles: WhatsApp for Business. This feature will supposedly allow verified business to chat with their clients or customers. It is believed it will be a paid facility. No more information is available so far, but WhatsApp for Bussiness could be available in a couple of months.
