There have been many leaks regarding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) but now we finally get to see an official picture of it. A recent press render leak shows us the sleek design that Samsung decided to use on its not-yet unveiled tablet. Although, this was to be expected since Samsung’s tablets are known for sporting sleek designs. Without any further ado, let’s go more in detail about what Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has to offer.
Leaked Press Render
The best thing about this recent leak is that it show us the tablet from both sides. The rear side looks quite amazing, with small touches and finishes that make the rear 8MP camera pop out. On the front side though, Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) shines the most since it presents a large 8.0-inch IPS LCD display. Furthermore, the tablet’s panel features a pixel resolution of 800 x 1280 and a rather small pixel density of 189 ppi.
Samsung is known for putting a high price on hardware performance and this can be clearly seen in Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017)’s specs. The tablet will be powered by Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 425 CPU. The processor clocks at 1.45GHz Cortex-A53 and it ships alongside 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 308 GPU. While the tablet’s specs might not seem that impressive in comparison with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8, they actually are considered premium specs for a tablet.
Launch Date and Operating System
Sadly, Samsung is keeping Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) under warps and doesn’t want to unveil its launch date. However, rumor has it that Samsung wants to unveil it during the holiday season. Therefore, December might be the month that Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) comes out. In addition, the tablet will run on Google’s highly optimized Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
