Last Thursday, Ripple (XRP) has signed Corby Johnson, a former presenter from Bloomberg TV. Corby Johnson is now the new Chief Marketing Strategists for the Ripple (XRP) and his job is to help XRP sell better to investors and multinationals, and this is just the beginning of the Ripple (XRP) plan for the future.
Ripple (XRP) price
Ripple (XRP) is experiencing a very tough period as it lost approximately 22% against the USD in just one week.
The XRP is the 3rd crypto coin by market cap, having a market capitalization of $31,389,316,649.
Ripple (XRP) is now trading at $0.802 after a 4.75% decrease in the last 24 hours.
The Ripple (XRP) plan for the future
Apparently, Ripple (XRP) is aiming higher and wants to put a monopoly on the global cross-border transactions by totally replacing the slower traditional methods.
However, there are people who think Ripple (XRP) is not possessing a valuable use for the banks and financial systems due to its high volatility. On the other hand, its recent partnerships prove the opposite.
“I think a lot of what you see in the cryptocurrency space and in the blockchain space is really focused on experiments or small proof of concepts. But Ripple is really determined to make sure that we are focused on serving real customers with real problems and our focus area is around cross-border payments and ensuring that we deploy cryptocurrencies as a better method to fund the liquidity for the cross-border flows which is a huge cost center and a huge problem to that,” said Danny Aranda, the Ripple (XRP) MD, in an interview to Express UK.
Ripple (XRP) partnerships with multinational will boost XRP
According to Danny Aranda, partnerships with big financial multinational like Western Union and MoneyGram will only be meant to boost the XRP against the USD.
However, as I’ve mentioned above, the Ripple (XRP) is trading now at $0.801, falling significantly from above $3, which has been the coin’s value in early-January 2018.
In the end, the Ripple (XRP) plan for the future is to become globally accepted as the regular method of cross-border payments and now, that the Ripple (XRP) signed Corby Johnson as the new Chief Marketing Strategists, the XRP might sell better to investors and multinationals.
