Red Dead Redemption 2 – Insider Rumors

Rockstar Games is mainly known for their Grand Theft Auto franchise but the game developer has created other successful games, in fact one of their most critically acclaimed games is Red Dead Redemption. The game developer is working right now on developing Red Dead Redemption 2 and the expectations bar has been set quite high considering the amount of success the first installment had and according to insider leaks, Rockstar Games is going to deliver.

Rumor has it that Red Dead Redemption 2 will follow in Grand Theft Auto 5’s footsteps and will have more than one main protagonist. This information came from a liable Rockstar Games insider, the same one who also revealed information about the latest GTA 5 Online updates. According to rumors, players will be able to play with three characters from John’s gang, but sadly John isn’t playable. It seems pretty logical from Rockstar Games to use the same game mechanics that they used in GTA 5, especially seeing how well players received this change and the amount of units the game sold.

The game developer has also hinted towards an online mode for RDD2 and the insider confirmed this. This shouldn’t come as any surprise because the game company managed to bring in massive amounts of profits with their GTA 5 Online mode. The RDD2 online mode won’t come out at the same time with the game because Rockstar Games and Take-Two are worried that no one will complete the single player campaign and instead it will be rolled out after the first months after the games releases. Worth mentioning is that the game’s release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, and all that Rockstar Games announced is that RDD2 will be launched during the first quarter of 2017 and it will be released only for Xbox One and PS4 platforms.

  1. After the horribly stupid ending of Red Dead Redemption, why would we want to shell out cash for the next one?

  2. RDR’s ending is one of the best in entertainment history. I feel bad for you if you think that was a bad ending.

  3. there will not be a direct sequel to red dead redemption so your title is very misleading red dead is a series and the third r refers to the motivation in marstons case it was his personal redemption.
