Popcorn Time is an amazing addon that gives users the ability to stream all types of videos directly through their Kodi application. Although, we need to mention that Popcorn Time is an unofficial plugin and that interested people should make sure to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) in order to be safe.
With that being said, today we are going to present readers with a guide on how to install the Popcorn Time plugin on the Kodi application. Installing Popcorn Time is a bit tricky, but we’re going to explain it step by step to make it easier.
Installing on Kodi 17.3 Krypton
The first thing that users need to do is to click the “Settings” option which is located in the top left corner and then head over to “System Settings – Expert Mode – Advanced”. After doing this, enable the “Unknown Sources” option and confirm this by clicking “Yes” on the popup box.
Now, head over to the Kodi home screen and click the “Settings” icon once again. From here, select “File Manager – Add Source” and choose the “None” option. After doing this, type in the following path with the quotation marks “http://dimitrology.com/repo”. Name the file as “Dimitrology” and select “Ok”.
Moving on, go to the Kodi home screen and click on the “Addons” tab and then select the “Package Installer Icon”. Now select the following options “Install Zip File’ -> Dimitrology -> kodipopcorntime.repository-1.0.0.zip” and wait for the “Markop1590 Repo Enabled” notification.
After the notification pops up, select the “Install from Repo’ – ‘Markop159 Repository’ -> ‘Video Addons’ -> Kodi Popcorn Time” and just click on the “Install” option. The download and installation will start automatically.
The Kodi Popcorn Time notification will pop up after the process is finished and users can enjoy the addon by heading over to the home screen and selecting the “Addons” tab where Kodi Popcorn Time will be available.
