PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG is a Battle Royale game in which a huge number of players are competing for survival on a single map.
Although you’d be tempted to think that we’re talking about a classic shooter, the gaming experience was so different from the FPS games that it generated a lot of fans in a relatively short time.
Although it was originally released on the PC in beta, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available for some time now on consoles, too.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is totally free to download and install on iOS and Android
At the moment, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will only be available in the United States and Canada, but should also reach other regions in the upcoming weeks.
The idea is not to overcrowd the servers at a very fast pace so that the final experience would suffer. Although porting the PC version to smartphones is a huge joy for game’s fans.
The greatest surprise, however, is that PUBG is free. It doesn’t cost you anything to install and play PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on iOS and Android.
PUBG is less demanding than Fortnite on iOS and Android
This announcement of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds comes a few days after Epic Games announced that Fortnite will be available for mobile, and the iOS version has already reached AppStore and can be downloaded on an invitation basis.
PUBG will be compatible with iPhone 5s or newer, which makes it less demanding than Fortnite which needs iPhone 6s or newer.
According to the game’s developers, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on iOS and Android is perfectly recreating the PC game’s experience.
