OnePlus is a line of smartphones which always get fresh software, getting updates as soon as they are available. OnePlus 3 is getting the closed beta 8.0 Oreo Update and the future devices such as 3T and 5 will soon get the update.
Public Beta Will Be Ready for OnePlus at the End of September
The company is aiming for a quick reaction to updating their devices. Why they will update OnePlus 3 first before the newer OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5 isn’t yet known.
The OnePlus 3 OS Update is still undergoing final touches, having various issues such as an NFC which is not functional, Wi-Fi having bugs, hotspot and Bluetooth issues, causing these feature either to be unreliable or not functional.
The company has announced the public that the closed beta users will experience upgrades running poorly and they would have to generate logs with what is not working or what is going wrong.
OnePlus 3, 3T and 5 Will be Stable and Get the Oreo Update
As soon as the builds for OnePlus 3, 3T and 5 are stable, the beta will go public. The company aims for the end of September to be the launch of public beta. This will make OnePlus be the first Company to give users the newest OS update, Android 8.0 Oreo.
Once the Oreo update rolls out for the OnePlus 3, users should know that this is the last major OS update for both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, as it already has received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the Android 7.0 Nougat.
Releasing the latest Android OS for the OnePlus 3 is working pretty fast, taking into account that until now only Pixel and Nexus devices have just received the Android 8.0 Oreo update. Users will have to be a little patient as the company is still working on getting the OS to a stable, bug-free and reliable version.
