During this year MWC, the HMD Global launched the new Nokia 7 Plus which gained a lot of interest thanks to the many leaked information about it. On the other hand, there is the Moto X4, which has been released in October 2017, but targets the same market segment and is made by Lenovo.

HMD Global and Lenovo have something in common, namely, both Chinese companies revived long-forgotten mobile brands, Nokia and, respectively, Motorola (called Moto under the Lenovo production).

Nokia 7 Plus Vs. Moto X4 – Technical Specs Comparison

Nokia 7 Plus packs a 6-inch display with IPS LCD technology, while the Moto X4 comes with only a 5.2-inch screen incorporating the LTPS IPS LCD technology.

Both Nokia 7 Plus and Moto X4 are powered by Snapdragon chipset. However, the Nokia 7 Plus comes with the newer Snapdragon 660, which makes sense since the phone has just been announced at MWC 2018. On the hand, X4 has a Snapdragon 630.

Moto X4 comes in 3 versions depending on the RAM. Thus, Moto X4 comes with 3 Gb, 4 Gb, or 6Gb of RAM. On the other side, Nokia 7 Plus will only be available with 6 Gb RAM.

Both models come with 64 Gb storage space, expandable to 256 Gb.

Nokia 7 Plus packs a battery of 3800 MAh, while the Moto X4 has a slightly poorer accumulator of only 3000 MAh.

Nokia 7 Plus Vs. Moto X4 – Cameras Comparison

Nokia 7 Plus comes with two primary cameras with Carl Zeiss Optics, one with 12MP f/1.8 Wide-Angle, while the other with 13MP f/2.6 Telephoto.

Moto X4 also packs two back cameras but with 12MP f/2.0 aperture 8MP f/2.2 aperture, respectively.

Both models have 16MP f/2.0 aperture front cameras and are able to shoot videos in 3840 x 2160 @ 30fps.

Besides, Nokia 7 Plus is powered with Android One, which is the high-end version of the well-known Google Android OS.

Nokia 7 Plus Vs. Moto X4 – Prices

HMD Global’s Nokia 7 Plus is expected to cost around $494, while the Lenovo Moto X4 is sold starting from $349.99 on the Motorola site, deducted from $399.99.

In conclusion, the Nokia 7 Plus Vs. Moto X4 battle is clearly won by HMD Global’s Nokia 7 Plus after the technical specs comparison, the cameras, and the add-ons. However, there is also a matter of personal taste and, on the other hand, Lenovo Moto X4 is also a good smartphone.
