Microsoft released KB4134661 and KB4134660 updates to improve privacy when updating to Windows 10 April 2018 Update, as a response to the increasing complaints of crashes and other issues during the installation process.
Just over two weeks ago, Microsoft released its newest update to Windows 10 April 2018 Update, the latest version of its operating system that continues to implement a host of changes, improvements and new features in the operating system.
Despite its long development process, users are encountering a lot of problems both when upgrading to the new version and when using the operating system as such.
Last week, Microsoft released the first cumulative update for Windows 10 April 2018 Update, an update with which Microsoft intends to fix various bugs detected in this new version of Windows.
Continuing to “upgrade the upgrade”, a few hours ago the company released two new updates, KB4134661 and KB4134661, which are especially focused on improving privacy during the transition from Windows 10 Creators Update and Fall Creators Update to Windows 10 April 2018 Update.
You have to install KB4134661 and KB4134660 before moving on to Windows 10 April 2018 Update
If you have not yet upgraded to Windows 10 April 2018 Update, you must install the KB4134661 and KB4134660 patches before doing so.
Although Microsoft has so far not provided much information about these new updates, they both seem to have the same description and seem to be two updates that are especially focused on giving users better privacy when upgrading their operating systems to the latest version of Windows 10.
To install these updates, all you have to do is open Windows Update in the Creators and Fall Creators Update versions of Windows 10 and check for new updates to appear and download directly.
As the company has not provided much information about the KB4134661 and KB4134660 updates, we cannot know whether or not any other corrections have been included in the Windows 10 April 2018 Update installation process beyond the improved privacy. At the moment we also don’t know if these new updates are intended to solve the reported crashed during the update process but we’ll let you know as soon as more details emerge.
