Updating Through iTunes

First off, Apple fans will need to connect the designated device to a PC that’s running iTunes. In addition, iTunes needs to be updated to the latest version which is 12.6.2 as of now. iTunes needs to be updated before the designated device is connected. In order to check for any new iTunes updates, open up the app, select the Help menu and then click on “Check for Updates”.

Assuming that iTunes is up to date with Apple’s latest version, connect the designated device and select the “Trust” option on it. Once the connection is complete, iTunes will pop up a message that’s announcing that new software update is available. All that’s left now is to download the update and install it. Keep in mind to fully charge the designated device before starting the update since it will last a take a while until its done.
