It’s nearly impossible to keep a secret in the smartphone industry and Huawei is finding this out right now. Huawei didn’t want to unveil that many information about its upcoming smartphones during the MWC Event, but this didn’t’ stop the internet from with buzzing leaks about its latest P20, P20 Lite and P20 Pro smartphones.
Huawei Y9 (2018) Leak
Things get even better for Huawei fans because a recent leak shows us that the Chinese tech manufacturer will release more smartphones during 2018 than just the P20 family. The leak we are talking about reveals the official press renders and specs for Huawei Y9 (2018).
Even though the not-yet unveiled Y9 (2018) doesn’t feature a full screen design like the P20 family does, the smartphone still looks amazing. The reason why Huawei did not equip Y9 (2018) with a full-screen display is because Y9 (2018) is designed for mid-ranged budgets which means that it needs to be affordable.
Therefore, Y9 (2018) will be a top-notch affordable smartphone that’s designed to compete against the likes of Galaxy J series. Nonetheless, let’s check out what specs Y9 (2018) will have to offer and see if it’s worth our attention.
Despite the fact that Y9 (2018) is targeted towards mid-ranged budgets, Huawei made sure to equip the smartphone with impressive specs. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 processor which clocks at a top speed of 2.36GHz. Moreover, Huawei also paired the processor with 3GB RAM and a 32GB ROM which can be expanded up to 256GB.
We should also mention that Y9 (2018) will not ship with one, nor two but four cameras! The smartphone will feature a dual-camera setup of 16MP + 2MP on the front side and a 13MP + 2MP on the rear side.
