Yesterday we talked about how Huawei booked an event for September 22nd and how that’s when Maimang 6 will be unveiled. Luckily for us and other eager Huawei fans, a real-life picture of the said smartphone was leaked on Weibo. While the promo material for Maimang 6 looked amazing, we can now finally see what we’re actually going to get.
September 22nd Launch
Even though Huawei didn’t exactly confirm that Maimang 6 will be revealed on September 22nd, this is definitely what’s going to happen. First off, Maimang 6 is a highly anticipated smartphone and Huawei needs to launch it so that it can stay ahead of its competition since Vivo is preparing to unveil its X20 flagship. Secondly, Huawei doesn’t have any other device to unveil during the event other than Maimang 6.
Huawei doesn’t even need to unveil the smartphone for us to know important information about it. Not only has the smartphone’s real-life picture leaked, a previous TENAA report also showed us its specs. Therefore, Maimang 6 will be equipped with a huge 3,240 mAh battery that’s said to feature quick charging features. More importantly, Maimang 6’s hardware power will be quite impressive since it will be fueled by an octa-core Kirin 659 processor. This processor is made by Huawei and it can also be spotted under Nova 2’s hood. In addition, Maimang 6 will also excel in terms of gaming and entertainment purposes since its processor will be coupled with a Mali-T830 MP2 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.
Smartphones which feature dual camera setups are taking over the industry and it seems like Huawei knows that too well since Maimang 6 will ship with four cameras. Maimang 6’s rear side will be equipped with a 16MP + 2MP camera setup while the front side will feature a 13MP + 2MP camera setup.
