HTC does not give up yet on its One M9 model. Before it brings to market a new model to replace its flagship the company wants to sell the version of this smartphone to those who have been kept away from it in the past due to some hardware issues. Thus was born HTC One M9(s), which comes with slightly changed specifications, new features and higher quality manufacturing materials, entering the stores at a lower price.
One M9(s) is a small downgrade to normal M9 and M9+ model. This model comes equipped with a 5″ Full HD resolution display and an octa-core X10 Helio chipset from MediaTek (2.2 GHz frequency), 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. The camera is also more modest, using a 13-megapixel backlit sensor, but it has no protection, using ordinary glass and sapphire. UltraPixel front camera, 4 megapixel also has a dual-LED flash.
In terms of design, the phone is similar to the original model, being made of the same double anodised aluminum (with two colors). HTC hopes to attract customers who did not buy the original version of One M9 for because of the 810 Snapdragon chipset, famous for its overheating problems. Priced at about $ 400 US when it will enter the market in Taiwan, HTC One M9(s) is an interesting competitor to other mid-range premium models already available on the market. Given that other HTC models have reached Europe and the United States after their launch in Asia is likely to see this model in stores all over the world really soon.
