Blizzard is one of the world’s biggest game developers with huge titles such as World of Warcraft and Overwatch under its belt. However, Blizzard is also the company who is in charge of the Diablo franchise and rumor has it that Blizzard is currently optimizing the latest Diablo 3 title to run on Nintendo Switch. This is going to be the first Blizzard game to arrive on Nintendo Switch and it gives fans hope that Overwatch might be next.
Diablo 3 to Launch on Nintendo Switch
The first thing we should mention is that Blizzard was the one to hint that “something” was going to happen with Diablo 3. It all started when Blizzard posted a tweet of a Diablo-themed light that was being turned on and off. This led Diablo fans to believe that a new Diablo game is being developed, but they couldn’t be further away from the truth.
Numerous websites such as The Verge are reporting that Blizzard is not working on a new Diablo title and it’s creating a special version of Diablo 3 that will launch on Nintendo Switch instead.
Diablo 3: Eternal Collection
The version of Diablo 3 that Nintendo Switch will receive is called “Diablo 3: Eternal Collection” and it will be priced at around $59.99. This version of the game contains the two “Reaper of Souls” and “Rise of the Necromancer” expansions.
Legend of Zelda Content
Rumor has it that Blizzard will include a special Legend of Zelda Ganondorf armor set, a Tri-Force portrait frame, Echoes of the Mask cosmetic wings and a Cucco pet in Diablo 3 as a tribute to Nintendo. Let’s hope that this rumor proves to be true because it would be really awesome to create a Diablo 3 character that has Echoes of the Mask wings.
