Dell improved aesthetically its XPS 13 laptop, while Asus introduced its own 13-inch laptop, ZenBook 13. Which one is better? The final showdown starts now!

Dell XPS 13 vs. Asus ZenBook 13 – Design

Dell XPS 13

It presents a thin but solid chassis made of high-end aluminum for rigidity and carbon fiber.

Dell XPS is only 0.46 inches thick and weighs only 2.67 pounds.

It comes in black and rose gold with white keyboard deck.

Its keyboard keeps the same comfortable line and fast response time. Dell’s touchpad is also excellent and supports the Windows Precision Touchpad.

Asus ZenBook 13

Asus opted for a more classical design for their new ZenBook 13.

Dell XPS is only 0.5 inches thick and weighs only 2.17 pounds.

The notebook comes in royal blue with some gray color trims. It also comes in black and rose gold keyboard deck.

ZenBook 13’s keyboard is responsive and its touchpad also supports Windows Precision Touchpad.

Dell XPS 13 comes in two variants, one powered by an 8th-Generation Intel i5, while the other comes with 8th-Generation Intel i7.

As for the RAM memory, there are also two variants. The i5 version comes with 8 Gb RAM, while the i7 version comes with 16 Gb RAM.

The XPS 13 is equipped with a 1 Tb SSD and runs Windows 10.

Asus ZenBook 13

Not different from its counterpart. Thus, ZenBook 13 comes with

  • 8th-Generation Intel i5 or i7;
  • Up to 16 Gb RAM;
  • 1 Tb SSD;

Asus ZenBook 13 also runs Windows 10.

The new Dell XPS 13 comes with a 4k UHD (331PPI) display, with a sRGB color gamut of 100% and a contrast ratio of 1500:1.

Dell also offers a cheaper version with only a FullHD display.

Asus ZenBook 13

Unfortunately, the ZenBook 13 comes only with a FullHD display with average color support and contrast ratio.

And The Winner Is…

Dell XPS 13! And that was a close one because both notebooks are sharing the same specifications, almost the same measurements, and even the same keyboard and touchpad quality.

However, the fact that Dell XPS 13 comes with 4K UHD display made it the winner against the very similar ZenBook 13 but which lacks in terms of display capabilities.
