Many rumors have emerged lately about the future Apple flagship smartphones. Fortunately, one rumor seems to have a very strong foundation – Apple will release a 6.5-inch iPhone in 2018. However, we don’t know how the future Apple phone will be called – iPhone 9, 11, or XL?
The future iPhone will be the biggest phone ever
Apple is rumored to plan the launch of the world’s biggest phone ever built, despite the fact that Apple seemed to be releasing smaller and smaller devices.
The future iPhone (call it as you wish – 9, 11, XL, X Plus, or whatever) will feature a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1242×2688.
Not only that Bloomberg discussed this future release but also a leaked image of the future iPhone’s touch interface module emerged on the most popular Chinese forum dedicated to Apple fans from Asia.
Although it can not be said with certainty whether the leaked touch interface module is really intended for an Apple product, its shape and its cut applied at the top reinforce this possibility, as do the inscriptions on the electronic board attached to its bottom side.
Still, at the speculation stage, the list of specifications for the future iPhone 9/11/XL should include Face ID and 3D Touch Technology (which has been eliminated in the current iPhone X), OLED screen, and 4GB of RAM.
It is also rumored that the device will come in with 128 GB of internal storage.
Other Apple iPhone devices to be released in 2018
Other rumors say that Apple will also release an iPhone SE 2 and an iPhone XS (?).
The iPhone SE 2 will come with a 4.2-inch display, while the iPhone XS (?) could pack a 5.8 or 6.1-inch display.
However, among these three possible Apple releases for 2018, almost for sure we will see only two, namely, the iPhone SE 2 and the 6.5-inch iPhone 9/11/XL.
