Here comes Android Oreo update for OnePlus 2 and OnePlus 3T smartphones!
OnePlus was on the list for the first devices to get the update. The company also announced the release of a new Android build not only for the OnePlus 5, but also for their OnePlus 3 & 3T.
After the update went through a Closed Beta release, now we have access to the Open Beta program. Along with the updated OS, the company has pushed a new OxygenOS, updating it to 4.5.14, focusing on improvements and several fixes.
The OxygenOS is available in Open beta 25, for OnePlus 3 and in Open Beta 16 for the OnePlus 3T. Before updating to the latest version, we recommend you back up all the important data (contacts, photos, documents, personal data, etc.). Android Oreo 8.0 Brings New Features and The September Security Patch
The OnePlus smartphones will have new features with the arrival of Android Oreo 8.0: Picture in Picture for apps like Maps or YouTube, new auto-fill and smart text selection, a new and quick design for Settings and more important: the security patch that was released in September.
There are more features to the OnePlus smartphones: the launcher will show dots for notifications and you can now upload photos to Shot.
Update to OxygenOS 4.5.14
As for the OnePlus 5, the company has released a new update for the OxygenOS. The update has reached build number 4.5.14. OnePlus 5 has received this update over-the-air and it should have reached all devices by now, as it was released on 2 November.
The changelog has a few improvements regarding either support for Airtel VoLTE (India), Band 66 of Freedom (Canada), or security issues fixes for Wi-Fi WPA2. There are also some general bug fixes added, along with optimizations for battery usages and GPS accuracy.
