Vivo NEX is the new line of smartphones from the Chinese company and comes with features that stand out among the little innovation in the mobile industry.
Vivo NEX has a huge screen-to-body ratio
If the display is one of the main components in a smartphone, Vivo NEX reaches the superlative with a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display with a native resolution of FHD+ at 2160 x 1080.
The “all-screen” concept is maximized because the frames are minimal and the screen-to-body ratio is 91.24%, well above what the competition is offering.
This ratio would not have been possible without one of the novel components of this terminal, an 8 megapixel Sony front camera with f/2.0 aperture sensor included in a retractable mechanism that only comes into view when we want to use it.
Another component that makes this possible is the absence of loudspeakers, as the entire screen is converted into a loudspeaker by means of “Screen SoundCasting” technology.
Finally, the inclusion of the optical fingerprint sensor on the same screen is noteworthy.
Vivo NEX is one of the first terminals to use it under Synaptics technology and seems the best way to include biometric authentication technology in the designs of “full screen” smartphones.
Vivo NEX boasts amazing features under the hood
The Vivo NEX S model features a Snapdragon 845 chipset with 8 Gb of RAM and up to 256 Gbytes of internal storage capacity.
The second model is the Vivo NEX A, which boasts a Snapdragon 710 and 6 Gb of RAM.
Both devices have a dual camera setup on the back, while the front camera is an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Vivo NEX availability and price
The Vivo NEX runs Android 8.1 packed with the company’s own interface, Funtouch OS 4.0.
Vivo NEX will be available in China starting on June 23rd in two colors, black and red.
