Android tablets used to sell very well a couple of years ago, but everything changed when bigger smartphones arrived. Customers don’t have any reason to purchase a $300 Android tablet when they can get a smartphone which features better specs and a huge display.
Seeing this, big companies such as Samsung and Google stopped putting their focus on tablets and started producing faster and bigger handheld devices such as Galaxy S9 and Pixel 2 XL.
Nonetheless, there are still some tech companies which believe that Android tablets can turn a profit and one of those companies is Xiaomi. This Chinese tech giant keeps making headlines because it launches new devices every other month. To make things even better, all Xiaomi devices ship with powerful specs and affordable prices.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 4
The latest device to be unveiled by Xiaomi is an Android tablet known as Mi Pad 4. The tablet is priced at $170 which makes it super affordable, especially when compared with how much Apple charges for one of its latest iPads. Although, the affordable price shouldn’t fool people because the tablet still comes with premium specs.
Xiaomi equipped Mi Pad 4 with an 8-inch display that features a high 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. Therefore, Mi Pad 4 is ideal for people who enjoy watching videos while mobile. Also, Mi Pad 4 is powered by one of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processors which clock at 2.2GHz.
As if the Snapdragon 660 CPU was not powerful enough, Xiaomi made sure to bundle it with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space which can be expanded via a microSD card. In addition, Mi Pad 4 is fueled by a massive 6,000 mAh battery that’s able to last for days on end.
