Even though Sony is one of the biggest names in the tech world, the Japanese based company is still struggling when it comes to smartphones. These past few years, Sony kept on launching high-end handheld devices but sadly, it couldn’t compete against the likes of Samsung and Apple. Well, now it looks like Sony finally has a smartphone that’s going to give Samsung and Apple some serious competition.
While the entire world is waiting in anticipation for Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 8 to come out, Sony has been secretly working on Xperia ZX1. The internet is filled with rumors and speculations about its features and hardware specs. However, we don’t need to base our opinions on rumors anymore since the smartphone’s live picture has been leaked online and it also shows us its full specs sheet list.
The first thing that we can notice when looking at Xperia XZ1 is that it will ship with a 5.2-inch HDR X-reality panel. The size of XZ1’s display is quite adequate since it’s not either small nor huge, and it fits perfectly into the owner’s hand. Another cool feature that XZ1 will be equipped with is Hi-Res Audio and S-Force technology which will enhance the smartphone’s audio experience.
In terms of actual hardware power, Sony XZ1 will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset. The processor is really powerful but this didn’t seem to be enough for Sony since it also bundled it with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space.
Nowadays, smartphones are camera centric and Sony XZ1 is not an exception to that rule. The smartphone will ship with a huge 19MP rear mounted camera. On the front side though, we will be to see a smaller 13MP selfie camera. Nonetheless, the smartphone looks impressive and we can be sure Xperia XZ1 will give Samsung and Apple a run for their money.
