Rumors have been flying around that OnePlus 6T is going to launch this month but we haven’t received any confirmation from OnePlus. Fortunately, the waiting is now over because OnePlus has decided to post a short video where it announced OnePlus 6T is going to launch on October 30th in New York City.

We should also note that the catchphrase used for the upcoming event where the new flagship smartphone will be revealed is “Unlock The Speed”.

OnePlus 6T October 30th Launch Date

OnePlus has managed to surprise everyone by announcing that its new flagship smartphone is going to launch at the end of the month. Even though we already had a pretty good idea about what type of hardware specs and unique features this smartphone is going to offer, it’s nice to finally have some official confirmation as well.

What’s interesting is that the Chinese tech giant has decided to launch OnePlus 6T at the end of October. This leads us to believe that OnePlus doesn’t want to clash ways with Google which is scheduled to launch its highly anticipated Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL tomorrow.

In-Display Fingerprint Scanner

The new OnePlus 6T will have a plethora of features to offer, but the one that stands out the most is the in-display fingerprint scanner. Samsung and Apple have been promising its fans that this feature will be installed on their flagship smartphones for a couple of years now, but both companies failed to deliver on their promises. Luckily, OnePlus is staying one step ahead of its competition and it managed to equip OnePlus 6T with this unique feature.

Hardware Specs

OnePlus 6T will hold the title of being a flagship smartphone and it will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 CPU. This is an octa-core mobile processor that clocks at 2.8GHz and it ships alongside an Adreno 630 GPU.
