OnePlus has a great business model that launches two flagship smartphones per year. The flagship smartphone for 2018 is called OnePlus 6 and it’s going to be replaced by OnePlus 6T during the upcoming months. What’s great about this business model is the fact that OnePlus fans have a wide variety of choice and they are not limited to only one smartphone.

OnePlus 6T

Another great thing about OnePlus is the fact that this Chinese tech-based giant likes to inform its fanbase about upcoming features. On the other hand, we have companies such as Apple which do their best to withhold information about its upcoming devices from its fans. With that being said, OnePlus has just confirmed that its next-generation flagship smartphone will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.

In-Display Fingerprint Scanner

OnePlus announced that its upcoming OnePlus 6T will be available for purchase in the US through T-Mobile and that it will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.

This is amazing news for OnePlus fans since it means that they will get access to a feature that the likes of Apple, Google and Samsung have yet to install on their flagship smartphones.

OnePlus Speaks Out

“We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete this action. By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient to them” said OnePlus.

Face Unlock is Here to Stay

The best thing about the recent statement made by OnePlus is that it confirmed that Face Unlock is here to stay. This means that OnePlus 6T owners will have multiple ways of unlocking their smartphone instead of relying on a single one.
