Most smartphone companies focus all their attention on one high-end device. However, this is not the case with Nokia. The HMD Global-owned company revealed a bunch of smartphones all throughout 2017 which feature both high and low prices.
It seems like Nokia is looking to cater to different budget ranges and to make things even better, the company is expected to reveal another affordable smartphone during the upcoming weeks.
Nokia 2 Benchmarks Revealed on Antutu
Luckily for us, Nokia 2’s entire specs sheet has been leaked in an Antutu benchmark test. Before we get started, we need to mention that Nokia 2 has already been listed in the US at the price of only $99. Nonetheless, let’s look at what Antutu has to say about Nokia 2’s specs.
Right from the start, the most important thing that this benchmark reveals is that Nokia 2 will ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat straight out of the box.
Considering how Nokia 2 is a new smartphone, we think it’s safe to say that it will also receive Google’s latest Android 8.0 Oreo operating system in the upcoming future. Nokia probably just needs a little bit more time to optimize it before rolling it out.
When it comes to hardware power, Nokia 2 will be fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 212 chipset. This processor is not spectacular by any means, but this was to be expected since Nokia 2 is priced at only $99. Moreover, the processor is also coupled with an Adreno 304 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.
In addition, Nokia 2 will ship with 8GB of internal storage space. The benchmark listing doesn’t reveal if Nokia 2 supports microSD cards or not but let’s hope that it does because 8GB is just not enough. Lastly, Nokia 2 will be equipped with a 720 x 1280-pixels display.
