Previous reports have shown that Microsoft’s upcoming Surface Andromeda device has been canceled. However, a new leak came out and it shows that Microsoft is indeed planning to reveal a new Surface device dubbed as “Surface Go” during the upcoming future. The leak gets even better than this since it unveils the device’s full specs sheet.
Microsoft Surface Go Leak
The first thing we need to mention about this leak is that it comes from a reliable source, from Tom’s Hardware. This is a website that sells devices, and it listed Microsoft’s upcoming device by mistake. Fortunately for us, people were quick to screenshot the listing and we know everything that the next-generation Surface Go will have to offer.
As we all know, Microsoft loves to equip its Surface devices with high-end display technology, and we can expect the same from the next-generation device. The new leak unveiled that Surface Go will use a 10-inches display that features a high pixel resolution of 1800 x 1200 and an aspect ratio of 3:2.
Powerful CPU and RAM
Considering the fact that Surface Go will represent Microsoft’s best laptop, it should come as no surprise that the tech giant has equipped it with an Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y processor. Not just that, but the processor will be bundled with 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM, depending on the acquired model.
Storage Space and OS
Surface Go will be available in the following storage models: 604GB (eMMC), 128GB (SSD) and 256GB (SSD). Therefore, customers will be able to purchase a more affordable model of Surface Go that doesn’t ship with SSD memory.
As previously mentioned, Surface Go was expected to run on a brand-new Andromeda OS, but this is not the case. Surface Go will run on Microsoft’s Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro instead.
