Microsoft and Xbox have already made a tradition to reward the Xbox Live Gold members for their loyalty for the American video games console with free games, each month.

Microsoft has already announced the titles that Xbox Live Gold users will receive this July for free.

On the Xbox One side, there will be Assault Android Cactus and Death Squared, while, in turn, for Xbox 360, there will be Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown and Splinter Cell: Conviction.

The latter two, however, as it is also the case with other games Microsoft offered for free for its Xbox Live Gold members, are backward-compatible titles so that you can play them on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Assault Android Cactus is a shooter with a futuristic zenithal view that features a friendly, cooperative local staging for up to four players. It came to consoles at the end of 2017 and was very well received.

For its part, Death Squared, an unknown title for many video gamers, is a puzzle game in which the players must try to get some robots to reach the exits of the multiple and dangerous scenarios they will face, full of traps and obstacles. Also, Death Squared received excellent reviews.

Both Virtua Fighter 5 and Splinter Cell: Conviction need no presentation, as they are two of the most well-known franchises in the video games industry.

Virtua Fighter 5, for its part, is the best way to open the road towards the return of other great sagas of the fighting genre, such as Dead or Alive 6. On the other hand with Splinter Cell: Conviction, Microsoft could’ve tried to make up with the gamers for the absence of Sam Fisher from E3 2018.

Virtua Fighter 5 and Splinter Cell: Conviction are two Xbox 360 catalog classics that deserve a chance.
