Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is scheduled to launch on October 12th and one of the game’s highlight features is the all-new Blackout mode. For those unfamiliar with this mode, this is going to be Call of Duty’s version of the famous Battle Royale mode that games such as PUBG and Fortnite have introduced to FPS fans.
Even though the game is still one month away from launching, the closed beta for PlayStation 4 kicked off yesterday and every major Twitch streamer got an exclusive account which helped them reveal what the Blackout mode feels like.
Is This a PUBG Clone?
The biggest fear that Call of Duty fans had when it was announced that Black Ops 4 will feature a Battle Royale mode is that the game could be really similar to Fortnite. Luckily for them, the game is nothing like Fortnite. On the downside of things, Blackout mode feels just like PUBG, but is this necessarily a bad thing?
Battle Royale Mode
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was the most streamed game on Twitch last night with famous streamers such as Shroud and Doctor Disrespect leading the way. After watching their streams, Call of Duty fans soon found out that the new game feels and looks just like PUBG. However, this is actually a good thing because PUBG is renowned for the realistic gunplay that it offers.
We should mention that even though Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 might make some players feel like they are playing PUBG, this game does come with a bunch of cool and unique features that set it apart from PUBG.
A great example of this is the fact that players get to pick specific classes that enable them to use special abilities. Not just that, but the game also features all the Call of Duty iconic weapons such as the ICR assault rifle.
