If you enjoy using SHAREit in order to transfer files then you are going to love what’s coming next! The developers of SHAREit have recently released a new update that improves the app’s overall performances and speed when it comes to sharing files. However, this is an APK (android package kit) update and it’s not being rolled out OTA (over the air), but there is no need to worry since we will explain everything that you need to know about APK updates.

SHAREit 4.6.38 Update

The new update for SHAREit changes the app’s build number to 4.6.38 and it can be downloaded right now. The trick to getting this update is that it doesn’t roll out automatically and instead, SHAREit users are required to manually download and install it on their smartphones.

The first thing that SHAREit users need to do in order to install an APK update on their Android powered smartphones is to head over to the Settings panel and to enable the “Unknown Sources” option. The reason why SHAREit users need to do this is because APK updates are not downloaded directly from the official Google Play Store and they come from other websites.

After the “Unknown Sources” option has been enabled, the only thing left to do is to download the latest APK file for SHAREit and then to tap on it once it’s finished downloading. This will prompt the installation wizard and the smartphone’s software will take care of everything else from there on.

Improved Connection Speed

As for the update, the only thing that SHAREit users need to know about it is that it improves the connection speed between smartphones. This means that SHAREit will be able to share files between multiple smartphones at faster speeds than usual.
