BlackBerry KEY2 To Boast A Physical QWERTY Keyboard – The Phone Will Be Revealed Today


TCL will unveil its new BlackBerry KEY2 flagship smartphone in New York today in another attempt to return the past glories to the legendary Canadian brand, BlackBerry, the flagship of the mobile industry a decade ago, especially in the business market. Now, we have the confirmation that BackBerry KEY2 will come with a physical QWERTY keyboard.

BlackBerry KEY2 To Come With QWERTY Keyboard

Before the event, Evan Blass has published images and the specifications of the upcoming model confirming one of its main features, a physical QWERTY keyboard that made the brand famous, backlighting for use in dark places, 35-key touch screen, and built-in fingerprint reader.

Its main specifications are also confirmed, such as the 4.5-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1,620 x 1,080 pixels, Gorilla Glass 3, and a 3:2 aspect ratio.

BlackBerry KEY2 Specifications

BlackBerry KEY2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with 8 Kryo cores up to 2.2 GHz, backed up by 6 Gb of RAM, and 64 or 128 Gb of storage capacity expandable via microSD card.

One of the current trends in mobile phones is not missing from BlackBerry KEY2, namely, the dual camera setup, with one sensor of 12 MP with F1.8 aperture and another one with 12 MP with F2.6 aperture. On the front, the phone boasts an 8-megapixel camera.

The phone will be powered by a 3,500 mAh accumulator with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging system.

BlackBerry KEY2 Will Come With Android 8.1

The phone will come with a 3.5-mm audio, HD audio support, and double-microphone to improve quality of calls.

BlackBerry KEY2 will come out with Android 8.1 and is expected to revive the Canadian brand.

However, we got nothing on its price but everything will be revealed officially during the event TCL scheduled for today, which will be held in New York and will be dedicated to the launch of BlackBerry KEY2.
