Things haven’t been going too well for BlackBerry during this past couple of years. The tech company used to have some of the most popular smartphones in the world, but their popularity started fading when Android and iOS devices were launched. Luckily, BlackBerry saw that times are changing and decided to keep creating high-end devices and to equip them with Android instead of the original BlackBerry operating system.
BlackBerry Key 2
Rumor has it that BlackBerry is getting ready to drop a new flagship smartphone that’s dubbed as Key 2 in the upcoming months. Fortunately, those rumors have been proven to be true since the smartphone’s full specs sheet and press render were leaked.
We should mention that the leak comes as a courtesy of Evan Blass who is a known leakster that has a good track record of predicting upcoming tech devices. With that said, let’s see what BlackBerry Key 2 has to offer.
The smartphone will feature a 4.5-inch display that uses IPS LCD technology. Moreover, the display comes with a high pixel resolution of 1620 x 1080 and a pixel density of 434 pixels per inch. Also, worth noting is that the display is coated in Corning Gorillas Glass 3 for additional protection.
Since BlackBerry Key 2 will hold the title of being the company’s flagship smartphone, BlackBerry has made sure to equip it with 6GB of RAM which can be bundled with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage space, depending on the acquired model.
BlackBerry Key 2 will sport a dual rear camera setup (12MP + 12MP) which features Dual LED Flash, HDR, 4K video recording at 30FPS and a smaller 8MP front-mounted camera that features 1080 video recording at 30 FPS and selfie flash via the LCD display.
