Asus has just introduced yesterday (May 30, 2016) its new ultra portable Zenbook 3 laptop. The launch event has been held in Taipei, at Computex, where Asus has talked about the new laptop that is thinner, more powerful and lighter than the MacBook and MacBook Air.
The new Asus ZenBook 3 laptop comes with an aluminum body and sports a 12.5-inch screen. For the base variant with an Intel Core i5 processor, 256GB onboard storage and 4GB of RAM, you will need to pay 999 dollars. This is almost a similar as that of Razer’s Blade Stealth or Dell’s XPS 13, which are two other good Macbook alternatives. The top line model of the ZenBook 3 Laptop comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, 1TB SSD, 16GB of RAM and it is priced at 1999 dollars.
However, if you don’t like shiny metal on your laptop, then ZenBook 3 will not be for you. The device also comes with a gold trim around the edges, which not many people will like.
Asus ZenBook 3 is a light laptop, portable and very well constructed. In other words, there will many business people who will want to purchase it, as they will do their job wherever they’ll go. The downside of this laptop is that it has only one USB Type-C port, which is quite disappointing.
Here are the key specifications of the Asus ZenBook 3 laptop
– A full HD display of 12.5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels
– Thick: 11.9mm
– Weight: 910 grams
– USB Type-C
– Price start from 999 dollars.
Unfortunately, Asus hasn’t made an announcement regarding when this laptop will hit the stores. However, there are rumors which say that the device will be available to public in the next 1-2 months.
