Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S3 is the top dog in the tablet industry right now. The tablet is being regarded as being the most powerful Android tablet available right now. The South Korean tech giant has done its best in order to make Galaxy Tab S3 more than capable of defeating its competition. However, we cannot stop ourselves from wondering about how well Galaxy Tab S3 will fare against Apple’s high-end iPad Pro hybrid tablet.
With that being said, today we’re going to briefly compare what Galaxy Tab S3 and iPad Pro have to offer. This way, we will finally be able to decide if an Android powered tablet is worth our money, or if an iOS tablet is the better choice. Without any further ado, let’s get into it.
Both devices ship in the 9.7 inch display variants, but the technology they use is different. Galaxy Tab S3 uses Samsung’s trademark Super AMOLED display technology which features a high resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and which also presents a pixel density of 264 ppi.
Even though iPad Pro uses TrueTone LED-Backlit IPS LCD technology, it’s still capable of offering the same pixel resolution and pixel density. While it might look like Apple’s tablet has the upper hand in this department because of its TrueTone panel, we actually have to give it to Galaxy Tab S3 because it’s able of supporting HDR videos.
Galaxy Tab S3 is fueled by Qualcomm’s highly powerful quad-core Snapdragon 820 CPU. The processor runs at a speed of 2.15GHz and it is paired with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and 4GB RAM. These hardware specs are what helped Galaxy Tab S3 earn the title of being known as the most powerful Android tablet.
On the other hand, Apple has taken matters into its own hands and equipped iPad Pro with its own-made A9X CPU. The dual-core processor has been clocked at 2.16Ghz Twister and it has been fitted with a PowerVR Series (12-core) graphics processing unit and 2GB RAM. Samsung’s tablet seems to be the superior device because it boasts a higher amount of RAM.
