iPhone SE 2 Leak – iPhone X Style Notch And More

Apple looks set to reveal a new iPhone SE 2 soon which will bring features from the top-end iPhone X to an affordable handset.

The Leak

Here you have the clip in question:

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDr1CJpTV20]

The video, leaked on the Japanese website Mac Otakara, shows off what is apparently the new iPhone SE 2 smartphone. It looks a lot like a perfect fusion between an iPhone X and an iPhone SE.

Previous rumors add up

There have also been some mockup sketches leaked, which appear to support this form factor. There was also reported a previous leak about Apple working on an iPhone SE 2.

Apple has previously been rumoured to release 3 new iPhones this year with a 5.8-inch iPhone X, a 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus and a more affordable 6.1-inch LCD display toting handset which could be this iPhone SE 2.

You will immediately notice the squarer shape of this phone than the current higher end iPhones, much like Apple’s older iPhone design style. But then there is that iPhone X style top-notch and bezel-free display – something which has been rumoured to appear on all of Apple’s iOS devices in the future.

Of course this must be taken with a pinch of salt. Notice that lock icon remaining on after the phone is unlocked? That suggests this could be an Android build made to look like an iPhone. Of course it could simply be a bug in what is a very early version of the iPhone SE 2.

Possible Launch?

In Feb 2018 the Taiwan Electronic Times (via the Chinese-language site MyDrivers) predicted an iPhone SE 2 launch in March, albeit with minimal design changes from the SE.

Another report, this time by the Taiwanese market research company TrendForce, believes a new iPhone SE 2 is coming in the first half of 2018.

Another possibility is that the iPhone SE2 could launch at Apple’s WWDC event in June. A report from a Chinese website at the end of February 2018 suggested that the iPhone SE2 will launch at WWDC.

SwiftKey Keyboard Update 7 – New Features, Stickers, GIFs Support And More

Brought to version 7.0, the Swiftkey keyboard got the most important update since it got acquired by Microsoft in April 2016.

What is Swiftkey?

SwiftKey is a keyboard app for Android and iPhone that “adapts to the way you type, so you spend less time correcting your typos and more time saying what you really mean. SwiftKey users have saved an estimated 10 trillion keystrokes across 100 different languages, which adds up to over 100,000 years of reclaimed typing time.”

“SwiftKey’s hallmark predictive technology learns from your personal writing style, getting smarter over time. From your quirkiest family nickname to the sports teams you support, SwiftKey predicts the individual phrases that matter most to you,” say the developers.

The app is available on Google Play and the App Store, so you can go install it right now!

The Swiftkey 7 keyboard is completely customizable, letting you pick from over 100 interface themes and from a key layout selection. For complete flexibility, the app also allows manual adjustment of the size of keys, thus compesating for the display’s size.

Lately, Swiftkey kind of lost users in favor of its competition, Google Gboard being the main beneficiary. In an attempt to put a stop to this decline, Microsoft is stepping up, thus managing to bring consistend improvements to the app in a very short time.

New Features

Though only available on Android for now, the new Swiftkey 7 update consolidates its additional options in a dedicated toolbar. Enabling it will open an extended menu, from which you can download stickers to insert in messaging apps; your favorites can also be saved in a personal collection.

On the list of features we can also add a new Calendar function, which allows you to save dates for future events and using them with ease in messaging apps.

The Clipboard function makes it so you can copy multiple messages, therefore keeping sentences safe for further use.

Of course, we would not have a messaging tool in 2018 without GIF support, making it easier to add animated images to your conversations with friends!

Do you use Swiftkey? What are your experiences with it? Tell us in the comments! And as always, stay tuned for more news and information!

Apple To Announce New Educational Products Towards The End Of The Month

We were expecting Apple to hold an event this spring, however we wouldn’t have thought it would happen on the very same day that Huawei, Xiaomi and other big smartphone developers announce their new brand-new devices.

New event

On March 27th, the popular American company is going to present to us their new education-oriented products, which suggests the possibility of us seeing both new hardware and software, which will help students in classrooms.

Possible announcement of new Apple devices

Because MacBook Air is one of the most popular laptops when it comes to “school” computers, we expect to see a cheaper version of it presented at said event. The event’s description says we are going to see new solutions for both teachers and students, therefore a more expensive laptop (with a retina display, for teaching classes) is not out of the question, either.

Additionally, this could be the event where we get new details on the new iPad tablets; recent rumors suggesting that a borderless iPad with Face ID authentication system will be introduced soon enough. There also exists the chance of launching a cheaper iPad, like last year’s model, but with support for the Apple Pencil stylus, a tool which could prove useful for educational applications.

Monetary motivation

In case you are wondering why most if not all producers are pushing to present new products by the end of March, we can presume their motives are purely financial. The end of March is, for most companies, the end of the fiscal year, too, and the growth of their end-of-the-year stocks can probably improve substantially their financial results for the last trimester.

What exactly is Apple going to announce on March 27th? Are you awaiting something specific? Tell us your thoughts in the comments! And as always, stay tuned for more Apple news!

Samsung Galaxy S10 to Feature iPhone X-Style 3D-Sensing Camera

The Samsung S9 and Note 9 won’t feature an iPhone X-style 3D-sensing camera, but it looks like the Galaxy S10 will!

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is going to come packing an iPhone X-style 3D-sensing camera for Face ID-type security and unlocking capabilities. That’s according to reports from Korean news outlet The Bell.

According to the report, an Israeli startup called Mantis Vision is currently working with camera module firm Namuga on 3D-sensing camera solutions for Samsung, with the technology intended to feature in the next generation of Galaxy S smartphones.

Special addition for a special event

This report would certainly seem to carry some weight, as Namuga is not only one of Samsung’s camera module suppliers, but it also directly supplies 3D-sensing modules for Intel’s RealSense AR cameras, too, while Mantis Vision specialises in 3D-mapping technologies.

Samsung following Apple’s lead on this would also make sense as next year will be the 10th anniversary of the Galaxy smartphone series, so incorporating the 3D-sensing camera in the S10 would help make the device extra special, just as with iPhone X.

Samsung is pushing the competition further

While the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus came with Intelligent Scan, a security feature that combined face and iris scanning, neither phone came with 3D-scanning capabilities and, judging by current reports, the tech won’t feature on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9, either.

As such, it definitely looks like Samsung has its playbook for the next 12 months pretty sorted in terms of security features, with an in-screen fingerprint reader on the cards, and the Galaxy S10 introducing Samsung’s answer to Apple’s Face ID tech in March 2019.

What do you think? Are the rumors trustworthy? Are you excited for the next year’s Samsung Galaxy smartphone? Tell us in the comment section down below! And as always, stay tuned for more news on anything Samsung!

BitGrail Will Compensate The NANO (NANO) Theft Victims With The New BitGrail Shares (BGS) Token

After the hacking of the Bitgrail exchange, when almost 200 million dollars were extracted in NANO (NANO), the team behind the Italian platform plans to return the loss to the victims of the attack in the newly created token called Bitgrail Shares (BGS).

According to the information shared by the company on its official website, the victims of the attack will have in their NANO wallets only 20% of the amount they had before the hacking attack, while the rest of 80% will be paid in the new token called BitGrail Shares (BGS).

In order to be compensated in BGS, the affected users must sign a waiver

Those who are interested in compensation should download a document with the details of the resignation, sign it, and send it to the company as soon as possible to proceed with the deposit.

Customers who were victims of the hacking attack but who do not belong to countries that are part of the European Union, where BitGrail is based, will also receive BGS tokens, but will not be able to trade them until and international compliance with the conditions can be guaranteed.

Although the Italian exchange is currently out of service, the press release says they hope to resume operations, as soon as possible.

The hackers were responsible for stealing NANO (NANO) tokens in a value of $200 million

On February 9th, BitGrail denounced the theft of a huge number of NANO (NANO).

The stolen amount of NANO represented 13% of the market cap of this cryptocurrency.

Back then, one NANO was trading at $11.33, thus, the hackers stoled tokens on a value of approximately $200 million. After informing the public that no other cryptocurrency is involved in this incident, the exchange office suspended all its activities.

In conclusion, BitGrail has recently decided to compensate the victims of the NANO (NANO) theft with its own newly created token called BitGrail Shares (BGS).

‘Shadow Of The Tomb Raider’ Release Date And Trailer

Earlier this week, many rumors about the future Shadow Of The Tomb Raider game title have emerged. Through a recent Twitter post, the Square Enix officials have confirmed that the new title in the new Tomb Rider series, which has started five years ago, will reach gamers on September 14th.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available this fall for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC

The game continues the story of the Rise of the Tomb Raider released in 2015. Lara Croft will compete, once again, against the members of the Trinity and her adventures will involve an important volume of mystery and intrigue to keep you connected to the console or computer.

At this time, we only have a short teaser for the future game (enjoy it above) and we do not know much about the story we are going to get involved into when playing Shadow Of The Tomb Raider.

A more elaborate trailer will more likely be released in two to three months from now, as we move closer to the release date.

The next title of the franchise, after the Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, is not likely to happen

Still, it will remain to find out if some variants of the Shadow Od The Tomb Raider game will come with exclusive features for certain platforms.

It is important to note that this game will end the trilogy started in 2013 and we do not know when we will see another Tomb Raider game or if a new game in the franchise will happen.

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, however, will be published by Square Enix, the same company behind the rest of the franchise titles.

On the other hand, Crystal Dynamics will no longer be involved in the new title. Instead, behind the development of the Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, there is the Eidos Montreal studio, the same team behind the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Remember that the Shadow Of The Tomb Raider release date is set on September 14th.

Samsung S9 Has A Secret Function Similar To The Well-Known iOS ‘Jailbreak’

The Samsung Galaxy S9 has been revealed to possess a secret function that allows users to do almost anything they want with the new Samsung Galaxy S9 phones.

The new feature is available only for Samsung Galaxy S9 versions that are powered by the Exynos 9810 chip.

With this Samsung S9 secret function, users can completely customize their phones

The Samsung Galaxy S9 has implemented its own TWRP support, which is a feature that allows you to load a custom bootloader to activate various phone features.

Virtually, the TWRP feature for which the Samsung Galaxy S9 with Exynos chip phones offer support is similar to the one offered in the past by iOS ‘jailbreak’ phones where you could install custom IPSWS with applications and tweaks.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 must have root for the process to work, or users have to use Odin for it, but the essence is that TWRP support is something nobody thought Samsung would offer.

Thanks to this implementation, Samsung Galaxy S9 users will have the ability to personalize their phones much easier.

Samsung Galaxy S9 has the secret function that many would love to see on the iPhone, too

The Samsung Galaxy S9 has implemented support for a feature the resembles the well-known ‘jailbreak’ but not in the classic sense of the procedure but, even so, the implemented secret function shows that the South Korean company cares more about their clients’ desires than the Apple company.

Definitely, many iPhone users would like Apple to lower its operating systems security and to allow an easier jailbreak.

iPhone has grown a lot thanks to the freedom of customizing iOS devices offered by ‘jailbreaks’. However, unfortunately, Apple has completely secured its operating system but wouldn’t hurt if Apple returns to better thoughts and lessens the iOS security a little.

In the meantime, the Samsung fans can take advantage of the Samsung Galaxy S9 secret function which, similarly to the iOS ‘jailbreak’, offers completely customizable features, custom bootloaders installations, and other tweaks.
